Dr. Iraniha is a nationally recognized pioneer in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery based in Orange County, California. He earned his medical doctorate from Tehran School of Medicine in 1991, graduating first in his class of over 400 students. In 1994, he relocated to the U.S. to complete his surgical training at two of the nation’s leading institutions: Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and UCI Medical Center.
With over 24 years of experience serving the Newport Beach community, Dr. Iraniha is widely known for his minimally invasive approach to complex abdominal procedures, particularly his one-of-a-kind technique for repairing diastasis recti. By combining laparoscopic technology with cosmetic precision, he developed a signature procedure—the “mini mini” tummy tuck—which includes diastasis recti repair and a limited skin excision (similar to an appendectomy) to tighten and flatten the abdomen with minimal scarring and downtime.
He serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at both the University of California, Riverside (UCR) School of Medicine and Western University of Health Sciences. Additionally, he holds leadership roles as Chief of the Department of Surgery and Medical Executive Committee member at West Anaheim Medical Center.
Beyond his surgical innovations, Dr. Iraniha is the founder of PHPEP (Patient Health Professional Experience Project), a mission-driven initiative dedicated to restoring the humanity of medical care and enhancing the patient experience at every level.
Dr. Iraniha lives in Newport Beach, CA with his wife and two children. When not in the operating room, he enjoys staying active, playing tennis, and spending quality time with his family.
