Orange County Dri Tuck Surgery

Orange County Dri Tuck Surgery. The Dri Tuck procedure is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional tummy tuck surgery. It combines laparoscopic repair of diastasis recti and abdominal wall hernias with a mini mini tuck to remove excess skin and reinforce muscle repair. This procedure is recommended for patients experiencing abdominal muscle separation, hernias, muscle laxity, and excess skin, particularly those with less excess skin, older patients, or individuals with underlying medical conditions seeking a less invasive option. The Dri Tuck Surgery procedure offers several advantages, including fewer postoperative complications, excellent muscle repair with a reduced chance of recurrence of diastasis recti, no need for mesh or drains, faster recovery, no scarring around the umbilicus, and outstanding aesthetic results. It is performed as an outpatient procedure, typically taking 2-3 hours under anesthesia. Initially, three small incisions are made in the lower abdomen, and a scope with specialized laparoscopic instruments is inserted into the abdominal cavity, says Dr. Iraniha Expert Tummy Tuck Surgery. Under direct vision, the muscle separation is repaired from within by closing the posterior layer of fascia. A bikini line incision is then made to separate the lower abdominal wall from the muscle, extending towards the umbilicus and up to the rib cage through a narrow tunnel to reinforce the muscle repair from the front. This dual approach of tightening the muscle separation from both the front and back results in a stronger repair and decreases the risk of recurrence of diastasis recti in our Orange County Dri Tuck Surgery Center.

During the Dri Tuck procedure, the umbilicus is detached from the muscle and reinserted into the fascia after the muscle repair, eliminating the need for any incisions or scarring around the umbilicus. At the end of the procedure, both the excess skin and the three small laparoscopic incisions are excised, and the bikini line incision is closed. The amount of skin separation from the muscle in the Dri Tuck Surgery procedure is significantly less than in a conventional tummy tuck, leading to fewer postoperative complications, no need for drain placement, and a faster recovery. The laparoscopic repair of muscle separation also decreases the risk of recurrence compared to traditional techniques and eliminates the need for mesh placement.
